Steel Buildings Accessories

Steel Building Accessories

Steel building accessories are components that are commonly available from the supplier and may be included in the steel building system, but are only provided as part of the package when they are ordered by the dealer and specified in the order documents.

1. The personnel doors, slide doors, hanger doors, windows, translucent panels, and ventilators that are installed in the exterior metal walls and roofs of the steel building system. These components should include all of the necessary hardware, framing, trim, and fasteners to be installed in accordance with the supplier's standards.

2. Framed openings for any doors including roll-up, overhead, slide, hangar, personnel, bi-fold, etc.

3. Eave gutters, valley gutters, and all external downspouts to the bottom of the steel building system exterior wall.

4. Canopies, overhangs, and fascias connected to the steel building system. Some steel building systems have a standard overhang, but a custom overhang would be considered an accessory.

5. Crane runway beams, supports and crane bracing.

6. Mezzanine or floor framing, joists, steel deck.

7. Glass and glazing when included in the supplier's standards.

All of the above components are considered accessories for a steel building system. This is because each construction project is unique and has different requirements. Sometimes a steel building system is sold including some of the above components, but these packages are usually ordered specifically through a dealer.
